An Introduction to the Guba-verse
Digitaldruck, 2026

The Guba-verse is a fictional universe inhabited by a species of grotesque, cartoon-like beings—the so-called “Gubas”. These characters share one core anatomical feature: a peanut-shaped form made from two fused spheres. While this base remains constant, their bodies can vary widely in form—humanoid, animalistic, or mechanical—allowing for flexible and modular character design. This modular design allows Gubas to exist across multiple media, from 3D renders to drawings and sculptures. The work showcased here is a long-format print depicting three stages of Guba existence (from left to right): their death, their life and their birth. Their lore presents a violent yet absurd world that combines childlike settings with slapstick brutality. Gubas exist in cycles of destruction and transformation, emphasizing their mutable naturewithin a chaotic and darkly humorous universe
