Here is our summer
Performative Installation, 2026
When the sun had set here, we moved along a little and watched it set again. You gave me your hand, saying I was allowed to hold it. Birds rolled from the sky like credits. We knew each one by name. A slack evening lay flat over the jittery village of ours where things usually met a happy end or simply never ended. Here is our summer, is a collection of poems that explores coming-of-age experiences and engages with the cyclical nature of the human condition—its relation to birth, death, and forms of rebirth, both physical and metaphorical. The accompanying video work, centered on a fictional burial ceremony of a toad, extends these concerns into a visual and performative register.
Daily readings will take place during the show.
