Beneath the Surface, 2024/25
Installation
Beneath the Surface examines the human body as a site of tension between the sacred, the scientific, and the digital. Rooted in personal experience and growing up within a religious tradition and coming of age in the digital world — the work reflects on how the body is interpreted, transformed, and at times, abstracted. Once seen as a vessel of the divine, the body is now also a digital construct: replicated, manipulated, and often disconnected from its organic self. This installation invites viewers to contemplate how technology, faith, and science intersect in shaping our understanding of the body not as a fixed form, but as something fragile, shifting, and continually reimagined. It is a space to reflect on the evolving boundaries between the physical and the virtual, the sacred and the synthetic.
