Lecture: Christian Kosmas Mayer's cross-media exhibitions and projects are the result of extensive artistic research and close collaboration with experts from various fields. They serve a critical reassessment of history and the present by placing the evolutionary and natural in a cultural-historical and scientific frame of reference. Of central importance in Mayer's work is the examination of questions of archiving and conservation as historically conscious action.

Christian Kosmas Mayer works as a visual artist, author and musician in a wide range of disciplines. His works have been shown in solo exhibitions in renowned museums and galleries and have taken part in numerous group exhibitions internationally.
